It’s Crunch Time!

It’s Crunch Time!

Believe it or not, I haven’t taken a break from blogging all year. (What?!) But summer is approaching and, now that we live in beautiful British Columbia, that means everyone wants to come and visit us. (Or our awesome mountains, lakes and weather. Same thing, right?) That means I have to make the last big push to finish the current novel editing before the mad influx of vacations. So I’m taking a wee bit of a break from the Interwebs this week to make sure I don’t fall behind.

Don’t worry, I’ll still be around in case anything important needs my attention, but I’m going to be a lot quieter than usual ;) So while I’m tapping away at the keyboard, deleting all the words that don’t need to be in this novel, I thought I’d leave you with my favorite writing prompts so far. At the time I’m writing this, I’ve done 46 (!), though not all of them have gone up. Some of my little experiments have worked out better than others and I’m happy to give them a little extra ‘air time’ on the blog.

As always, I love feedback, so if you decide to take a look at any of the links below (or have already), I’d love to hear what you think! :D See you next week, Internets!

My best/favorite prompts (several because I write him so often ^^; ) featuring Domerin:
Only Human
I Did the Right Thing
Obsession

My best/favorite prompt featuring Rose:
I Have a Girl’s Courage

My best/favorite prompt featuring Cazella:
What Does the Music Tell You?

My best/favorite prompt featuring Silkfoot:
He Knows the Right People

Probably my best stand-alone prompt:
They Return Every Year to Lay Flowers on the Spot

And, of course, my most popular prompt, featuring my most (unexpectedly) popular character; the giant space jellyfish:
First Time Getting Drunk

urban fantasy, romance novelDon’t forget that Island of Lost Forevers is on sale for just 99 cents, and the rest of the trilogy is waiting for you when you’re ready ;)

A sorcerer’s duel cannot be denied. Anyone who violates the rules of the tourney will lose their ability to wield the Power. But Damian stands to lose much more than that…

You can find purchase links on the sidebar (or here) and you can read the first three chapters for free over here.

See you all next week! Don’t wreck the place while I’m gone ;)
