Sea of Twisted Souls

Sea of Twisted Souls

Book three of the Mystical Island series.

If Morulin’s family can’t heal their fractures, they might lose their dimension-hopping home…

It’s been sixteen years since Damian disappeared. Morulin’s twin brothers are preparing to take over the island while she struggles to find her place in its future. The last thing she needs is the emotional hurricane caused by Damian’s return.

Morulin isn’t interested in making amends. She’d rather spend her time with the enigmatic Pilgrim, a dimensional traveler with information critical to furthering her personal studies. Until someone attempts to assassinate the island’s new heirs and Damian lays the blame squarely on the Pilgrim’s shoulders.

Is Damian trying to frame an old rival? Or has something more sinister come to visit their island paradise?

A creature of mist and fog…
Morulin received a tingle of warning from the island just before several windows along the top floor of the bathhouse shattered.

“Down!” Damian cried, diving in her direction. But she had already dropped to her knees.

Morulin threw her hands over her head as howling wind whooshed down the mountain. It swirled over their heads, tearing delicate blossoms from bushes lining the courtyard paths. Though she spotted only thick fog when she peeked through her elbows, magic pulsed within the whirlwind.

Burning an image into her mind, Morulin reached for a location halfway across the island. Wrapped in magical energy, she traversed the distance in the blink of an eye. Surprise flickered across her parent’s faces when she appeared on the opposite side of the ravine.

With a wiggle of his finger, the lord of the island wove a magic net as intricate and delicate as a spider’s web. Without a word, his wife entwined a matching pattern. Morulin added her arcane abilities to the lattice.

The fog diverted, slamming into the net as the trio anchored it. With all the force of a hurricane, it surged back and forth, trying to break the barrier…
